Voice votes continue; Assembly Dems head to caucus

The chamber has passed most of the remainder of its calendar almost entirely on voice votes.

- AB 254, which would increase the maximum length of a vehicle without an overlength permit from 40 to 45 feet.

- AB 267, allowing certain three-vehicle combinations on state highways.

- AB 269, allowing a court to prohibit a suspect in a domestic abuse case from contacting witnesses in that case.
- AB 270, designating a Marinette County bridge as Veterans Memorial Bridge.

- SB 203, which would adopt federal tax law as it related to employer reimbursement of health care premiums for employees' adult children. The measure passed 93-3.

With one bill left on the calendar, Assembly Dems have asked for and received a recess for caucus.

UPDATE - 5:04 p.m.: Dems have returned from caucus and session has resumed.
